marsh man
Nice clear video but your shooting skills need polishing up , mind you it might well be the camera angle but some of those shots seem out of range although I am sure they were not . THANKS for taking the time to share your videos . MM

THANKS for taking the time to share your videos . MM It's just the camera focal length making them appear long range. The wigeon were 30 yards ish. Not even marginal. and yes by shooting isn't the best. I'm fully aware of that but keeps my sport sustainable. It's strange I want to shoot proficiently like I used to do, believe it or not, but I don't want to kill many ducks. A strange conundrum. My day would be over very quickly if I could shoot like Goeorge Digweed. Thanks for the feedback. 17 minutes ago, Bigbob said: At least you where out and got a couple of dinners Enjoying yourself is the biggest form of success in any hobby and I am very successful! I know exactly what you mean , I am coming to the end of a very long wildfowling spell of 60 odd years and I am at the stage where I will only shoot what I want , all my friends and the odd one or two who wanted a duck or a goose in the past are sadly departed and I can get as much game and fowl from the shoots I attend , mind you when I put my gun up to a duck or goose my intention is to kill it , if I connect with the first shot then I now make a instant decision weather to take a second shot or if I am happy with the one I have got . Have you got a working dog or thinking about getting one ?, I have never been without a Labrador and to me it is over half my enjoyment when fowling , I know I wouldn't had been fowling this long if I never had a dog , a game changer if there ever was one . MM Yep, I want a lab. hope to get one in 2025. I have a GWP, won't retrieve. Falconry dog, trained not to retrieve. Cayak fills the gap. Has a hell of a nose and works to hand signals perfectly 🙂 Edited October 19 by CumbrianWildfowler

Has a hell of a nose and works to hand signals perfectly 🙂 I have watched most of your videos and I must say they are very clear and well made and you seem to be very hands on and put the effort into the sport to get the required results , having a boat of sorts is also a game changer , I had gun punts for many years and really enjoyed my time afloat , these were the type of gun punts we had , not with the punt gun as it was banned on our estuary in 1968 . dainty duck
well done good video ,looks a great spot and good layout with the deeks , I think maybe a bit less choke or a lighter game gun perhaps on this occasion , but remember its all about the chase not the kill .
