just a couple from this week one with the HMR the other with 22.250.

both from about 100yds, the one i took with the 22.250 was a bit of a tricky shot trying to get a clear view between some branches of a tree that was in a valley and the fox was on a bank the other side she just moved across a bit too much and got a 55grn nosler between the eyes. saw another bit was not sure of the distance or back stop for a definate shot so passed on that one

yes it did make a mess of its head ,was actually rite between the eyes smack bang in the centre.it was pretty empty just all floppy, by no means did it suffer,

yes the one that got away this time better watch out friday night, i am going to have a good walk round the permision in day light and will also take some photos for studying just to get the lay of the land firmly in me bonce

I have only been round with a bud at night, its really hilly,so most shots are safe  hard walking though with my 12lb cannon on my back (love it really)

see what this weekend brings, snow i hope leave the lamp at home then :good:

nice bit of shooting DOUGY ,could i ask which ammo were you using in the HMR,and were did you place it,

feds, there the only ones that group in my 77/17.

i would rather shoot them though with something bigger

its allot more critical were you put the 17 and not allways an instant kill if you dont. unlike a larger calliber were you have slightly more room for error.
