islandgun Posted Monday at 11:40 Report Share Posted Monday at 11:40 I have a small pond at the bottom of the croft which ive been feeding a scoop of mixed grains every day, lately a group/family of greylag have taken to staying and grazing the area around it, the grain is gone every day, Im not seening any small feathers as you would expect when duck are using it. Are the greylag enjoying the good life, this has never happend before I have a few ponds i made Islandgun One of them is perhaps only 10m x 10 m I overlook it many night when foxing - i also started with a scoop of grain - it now has like many of the others close to a bag a day ! In the past I had a camera out and filmed a few mallard feeding but they always left feathers. If wouldn't be so bad feeding them up if they tasted like fat mallards, but they will still be fat greylags as tough as old boots! Goose sausage is good though......good luck.
