Any owners current or past of the original, 1992 ( I think ) model? Either the self loading/pump version or just the self loader. Would be interested in your thoughts.

Thanks for the reply; have just bought one but it’ll be the New Year before I can collect it. Frustrating……but then it’ll be PLAYTIME! 😀

This is my Dad’s SBE 1 which I’ve used for wildfowling, I’ve occasionally used 3.5” steel cartridges and like most cartridges some kick more than others, what I like is it’s light and very easy to clean, you’ve made a good choice 👍

A mate had one years ago and I always coveted it but could never afford one. 
Traded in a cf rifle some years ago for a M1 Super 90 ( the 2018 re-issue model ) and although it’s a great gun I always still found myself being niggled at by the SBE1 whenever I saw one. 
Anyhow, have found the SBE1 I always wanted ( raised rib and wooden furniture ) and it’s S1 to boot, so have done a swap. 
My M1 is HP steel proofed and the SBE1 not so, but it matters not a bit to me. Can’t wait to get it.
