Tony hi i have sporting rights on the land and also have permishon to run this small shoot Thats good news mate, If some help in getting birds isnt forthcoming let me know and I will speak to a mate of mine that works on a game farm to see if he can get you some phezzy poults when they are ready. You would have to come down to North Bucks for them so see what else turns up on here in the meantime. Tony

There are some top people you could get better info from on here, they will answer I'm sure. A look at the ground would help. I just have lots of contacts in lots of areas of shooting. Chess
i hope you chaps are not referring to Cottingley Springs ? How could anybody coming from such a delightful sounding place be as black as you paint them ? In all seriousnes Russ i wish yiu the best of luck, strikes me if you have some water running through your land you may be better off trying to entice some duck. Cheap to set up and shooting a couple of evenings a month wont attract any unwanted visitors.

tulkyuk
Unless the farmer or yourself are willing to plant cover crops, i doubt very much that you will hold pheasants or partridge on the land without woods for cover - hedgerows aren't really up to the job and your birds will just wander off to pastures new. Nice part of the world to live in then! this lot nicked a brand new 4x4 quad from one of the farms i shoot on. i followed them to the site , the farmer brought the old bill. the police would not go onto the site and told us to go home and forget it.
