Have practically decided on getting a Remington .223 VSSF II for foxing.....looks like from ready all the forums that the remington have a lil edge on the tikka........(don't shoot the messenger)

Anyway....I was thinking that I could stretch my budget maybe to say euro 5k all in, with say 2K for moderator and scope.......I would love to get a Sako (I just want to buy European).......is there a good foxing Sako for around 3K...has anyone have one

BTW....I'm picking up my new beretta Silver pigwon S on Saturday, license came through during week...can't wait.....

Ross you should be able to pick up a sako 85 for in and around €2000 depends where you go the dealer i go to had a .223 sako 85 for €1950 very nice gun but there is the exact same action in my tikka for less money the gun dealer even said so himself there a nice gun but i couldnt justify paying the extra €600-€700 over a tikka fair enough if you have the money to spend go for the sako but i wouldnt overlook a t3 tactical or super-varmint there coming out of the same factory as the sako :good:

I have a t3 tactical .223 harris bi-pod,optilock mounts,3-10x50 kahles scope and t8 reflex sound moderator i fired it at paper this morn using 45gr hollow point remington umcs in very gusty wind and got a 10cent coin sized group with her at 100yrds so it is nice and accurate anyway :good:

I dont bother with massive magnification scopes as mine is always set at 7.5 zoom and i have taken foxes out to 234yrds so far with no probs whatsoever i have shot well over 100 foxes with it since febuary so the setup works anyway
