How stable are shotgun cartridges????????????

I remember reading in shooting times or one of the mags,that they done a test once with a cartridge inside a cardboard box and set it off and it didnt even break through the box,also ive thrown one on a fire before when cleaning out my truck and all it done was fizz.

Been there and done it to.

 

The primer went little pop and the powder fizzed, I think the black powder shells go boom a bit more but I'm not going to try

 

and find out.

Yep thanks guys,. Blackbart did not really read my thread ",if the cartridge is not contained in a chamber or a sealed container then it is not under restraint and can not perform as intended "a birdscarer, or poacher alarm has a chamber to contain the shell to perform as a gun would!, :lol::lol: :yp:
