njc110381
That would be a bore snake. Get one in whatever calibre your gun is, and also a can of Napier gun cleaner and lubricant. Blast a load down the barrels before the snake goes through and also spray a bit on an old cloth to rub over the barrels and action after shooting

Sounds like a "Paradox Rod" to me, You can get a basic cleaning kit with the brushes rods and oil for about £20. The Paradox rod is good for a quick clean straight after shooting. I prefere 009 by Parker Hale as a bore solvent to clean the inside of my Browning barrels. Tony

ChrisNicholls
If it is the Paradox cleaner, and it certainly sounds like it, I can heartily recommend it. I have been using one for years and think they are the best for a quick post shoot clean. I seldom use the bronze brush and solvent now and only give a full clean after a wet day. I just give the barrels a go with the Paradox cleaner and wipe the outside of the gun over with a cloth and a little WD40. Some say you should not use WD40 but my gun looks fine. paul1966
ok then it looks like this Paradox cleaner brush is top of the list. so apart from that i assume its just gun oil and a cloth to wipe down the barrels.
Andy W
I have a full Bisley cleaning kit which was a present but have never used all the components of it. Use a decent cartridge such as a Victory 480 and that will reduce your cleaning for a start, I usually use just an old lambswool mop with a bit of Legia spray on it, 3 or 4 runs through each barrel and it is clean, a couple of runs with my best lambswool mop and it shines like a mirror, the outside I clean with a fine spray of Legia and generally wipe the action with a dry rag, if the gun has been used in the rain it gets a full clean including chokes out and cleaning all the nooks and crannies, my bronze brush only gets used if I have shot a really dirty cartridge.
