I shot a bunny last night that had large bald patches around its eyes. It didnt give me any cause for concern as i assumed it had scratched the fur off as it was covered in fleas. There was no runny discharge from the eyes or any other abnormalities that i could see. I have looked through past treads and googled it and now im asking you for advice . Do you think it could be mixi and if so in your honest opinion would you eat it............The reason i ask is because he is lying in my freezer filleted next to his mate

if your unssure i wouldnt eat it.... it might of just been the fleas and scratching but i wouldnt take the chance.

If there was plenty of meat on it then all will be OK, even though myxi is bad for rabbits the meat is OK for consumption.

seen a good few rabbits getting over mixxy the last couple of years. dont think its as bad as what it used to be.
