proudyp
hi,new to the shooting scene,i've just bought a second hand lanber 28" sport multichoke . On pulling the trigger the safety catch comes on before you can take the second shot. This isn"t an issue, but is this standard on older lanbers,as my first few outings I've been using a lincoln. Any info would be appreciated.
Peely
Have you got the safety switch on single or double barrel?
Markio
Once you take the safety off you should be able fire both barrels without touching the safety again. Just a thought, are you getting this issue 'dry' firing the gun or actually firing carts?
proudyp
Thanks for the replies. I wasnt aware that there was a difference on the safety catch for single or double so I am unsure what it is on, any help on determining what it is set to would be appreciated. I have only fired dry at the moment with snap caps in, never fired with any carts. Thanks in advance for any help.
steve_b_wales
The safety catch can be moved sidewards to enable you to choose between firing the bottom or top barrel first. If the catch is engaging after the first shot, it may be the clip that holds the catch is worn. Is the catch very easy to put on/off, and is there any 'play' in it. Thanks in advance for any help. i think you will find that's your problem. with no recoil the gun does not fire the second shot. try firing the first shot then banging the butt either with your hand very hard or do what i did and bang the butt on the floor, that should do the trick and you can fire the second shot.
