waiting for FAC to come

I sent my FAC applic off about month ago and still have heard nothing, last sat was on a nearby shoot and was speaking to a guy who had sent a renewal off for a shotgun cert, he said there was a two month backlog!!!!!

 

Is this common, my issuing police force is Humberside, il wait however long it takes, but would have thought theyd assign more people to clear the backlog!!!

give them a ring they will tell you how far they are on with it

A 12 week wait is about the national average for first time application at the moment, so you'll be lkucky to see it before Feb.

I have been waiting since early July.

 

I spoke to them this morning and they have told me I will have the FAC during the second week of January.

 

It's been a long wait and very frustrating.

They had a 400 item backlog from the flooding still in September. A bunch of granted certs were destroyed in the flooding so they had to go through all of them. Their current time if you ask is 4-6 months. That is about the same as spoole mentioned below.

 

Give them a ring and ask if yours has been processed yet. If it is a new appllication, make sure your referee forms are in as they won't even look at it until your forms are in.

il give em a ring new year i think, my referee forms got sent roughly same time as the applic, so no worries there. Thanks for the replies any how.
