Harnser
Mick Gault has been awarded the M.B.E. for services to shooting . Mick has won 15 medals at the commanwealth games including 9golds . more medals than any other athelete . I know mick personly and he has allways protested the hand gun ban in very high places ,he is a man who would allways help and pass on tips to us lesser pistol shooters ,(when we were allowed to own a hand gun ) .Mick is a nice guy and is president of our shooting club in norfolk . Dosent it seem strange that the government can honour a man with an M.B.E. in what is a banned sport in mainland uk . It a funny old world that we live in . well done Mick its well deserved . Any views on this matter . Hanser .

Nutcracker
Well done to Mick. Great for shooting sports as they seldom get any recognition. Wonder what the plans will be for 2012 as pistol shooting is in the Olympics even though banned here.

Nutcracker
They can't afford to ban shotguns. It cost them too much on the handgun payout. Lesson quietly learnt for now.

I am guessing that all contestants will have a special licence and will only be allowed to carry the pistol in the venue where it is taken place with security around. then the rest of the time will be locked up in the police station. Yes...and then the permits will be revoked when the Games are finished.
