Hi Guys thanks for the info. I the gun in question is used for wildfowling and it is for ever getting rusty which is an on going job to reblue it. So I thought it might be a good project to Paint it in camo, Plus it would protect the metal against rust.

why stick the gunge all over it , if its an older gun (well used)

why not get some quality matt paint & do the job ya self with a 1" brush, colors sand, bronze & mid green, black i recently did a complete landy, looked the dogs gonads !

start with the all over clean with spirit, all over in sand colour, then add the green, brown, in 2-3" swipes, crossing at an angle left to right & finish with a dab the black here & there..

goodluck..

I can never understand the modern trend for camo guns. By the time a bird is close to realise what a gun is it should be already be close enough to shoot anyway. Over the years I have shot thousands of birds without even thinking any bird has ever been put off by my standard gun stock\ barrels.

I suspect cammo guns outwit more fashionable shooters than wild bird birds.
