pumpitup
Whats the best way of applying for a centrefire rifle? What kinda boxes need to be ticked as far as the feo is concerned? Do i need 'x' amount of land or join a club etc? Any advice out there?

No not really, as long as you can provide good reason and there are good enough backstops.

tulkyuk
This is my own personal opinion, but if you dont know the requirements or the ins & outs of whats needed to obtain a fullbore rifle, then perhaps you should do some more research about the subject before applying as i dont think you are yet ready to own such a high powered killing machine. What do you want it for? Fox,? Deer?, Targets? Have a look at the police websites or BASC for some firearm license info. Moses
njc110381
If you have land, give us details. You have more chance of getting one on 100 acres of valley than 1000 acres of flat ground, although if you use a highseat they can be more reasonable. I just got a 170 acre permission cleared for 6.5x55, and it's as flat as a football pitch. I did however talk a good game with the FEO who visited and showed that there would only be one or two directions where I could fire it safely. It all depends on the mood of your FEO, the general opinion of your force, and how good you look to them. Some forces are helpful, others are just plain unreasonable

I agree Tulky, but aren't his questions on here part of his research?
