digger
Wife is on her annual carib holiday leaving me with our girls aged 7 and 11. This time last week I was watching football with a beer in my hand on the terrace. Now my day starts at 7.00am making sure the eldest gets up and has breakfast, has the right books for school and helping her make her packed lunch. Get her sister up at 8.00 and get her school clothes out, do her breakfast and try to do her hair, keep her free of crumbs and leave home in time for school. Get home and the ironing for the next day is done, shirt for me and blouses for them. Cook their dinner, walk dog, ensure homework is done, clean up the mess they make and collapse on the sofa. Never realised just how hard it is, will tell the Mrs its a doddle though. Now listening to my team play via the web, drinking tea as I have to collect the eldest from guides, wont do to have a beer
Dead-Eyed Duck
I just can't believe that she didn't do all these jobs for you before she went  Come on - if she really thought anything of you she would have arranged for a nice 18 year-old au pair to deputise Don
Cranfield
Its about time you made friends with all your female neighbours and brought on the substitute. That or get the Mother in Law round as a last resort.

At least the mighty Gooners won again
