tjdwillis
I have a Leupold VX-II and got a remington 700 SPS in .243 on hold for when I get back from uni. Its my first centrefire. Its for fox, muntjac, and roe (and the odd larger deer). Can anyone recommend a good set of mounts? I think its a 1 inch tube. ones that will do the job without being too expensive. Any Ideas? Thanks
JRDS
Get the Burris Bases and Rings, superb. From the States will be your cheapest option. Edited March 3, 2008 by JRDS

tjdwillis
i used to use air rifles, now i have a ruger .22lr (hardly use it) and a CZ .17hmr. there both dovetail and i just have mounts. dont realy understand the bases. do the bases have to be made for a remington 700? and do i need bases and rings from the same make or do they all fit each other? had a look on a few websites and some bases say which make rifle they are for and some dont say! been stalking for a while (accompanied) but never realy taken note of the mounts. cheers for the help
