radio1ham
why not try old plastic barrels with a few slots cut in them thats what i used to use years ago and just scatter a bit feed around the ground to get the birds to start feeding there once they know the food is there they will figure out how to get the food from the feeder will save you money and there for nowt but remember to clean out the barrels before using them

stuey
Weldon gun room just north of morpeth had a load stacked outside their premises a couple of weeks back. Not sure if they were for sale or delivered for someone, but it might be worth a phone call. regards Stu
gdunc
I've recently bought some from Patrick Plinker which were build yourself but came with everything. They were about £14 each and delivery was under a tenner. Saves a lot of time wasted scratching around for good clean barrels
markm
Don't buy them ready made, they are easy and fun to do, get yourself a copy of yellow pages and phone food suppliers (dried or pickled) in the north and give them a call and you will hit on (I have had them from bakeries, car part suppliers, cleaning fluid / powder suppliers.) Get yourself some studding with nuts washers etc etc and a couple of lengths of 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 a spring for a quid or mesh and a hand drill job done!!!!! Cost about £3 to make and exactly the same as £20 delivered. I even know a spring maker at blaydon if you want the address.
