Subsonic Flyer
Hi Recent purchase, very pleased, after finding the right ammo I can achieve 0.7'' at 150 yards. I can highly recomend the scope Schmidt & Bender PM11 Sniper 3-12 x 50 (not cheap but excellent quality).

Subsonic Flyer
Spot on Elma Fud, its a Styer Mannlicher Pro Hunter Mk11 (longer barrel than the mountain) with the new stock in .243. Good medicine for the local Red and Roe population!

Frank
Whats the triger like on it?
Subsonic Flyer
Hi Frank I find the trigger very good, it is a single set trigger (I think thats what they call it) where you can move it forward to provide a very light let off or use the standard pull. Both are adjustable and the standard can be set much lighter than many of the other factory rifles available on the market. They shoot well out of the box but if considering a fair amount of target work the heavy barrel versions are best as the standard can heat up quite quickly. Especialy if firing alot of rounds succesivley as hot barrels effect group sizes but I am sure you already new that.
The Big Red Fox
Hi Sub Watch out with the light trigger in the winter when your hands are cold and numb....... Nice kit though Foxsey

Elma Fud
Subsonic Flyer: How much were your scopes. Not cheap I bet.
Subsonic Flyer
Elma Fud: When I said not cheap I wasn't kidding, they retail for £900 but I managed to negotiate a reasonable discount. It was still very painful. I keep consoling myself that they are guaranteed for 30 years (parts and labour for the first ten) so it should last a while!!! Compared with my other scopes these are in a diffearnt league but it still took me 12 months to pluck up the courage to buy them (and convince the wife). Subsonic Flyer
The Big Red Fox: Its sounds like you are talking from experiance and ive been there, I had a couple of incidents with the light trigger while zeroing when it went off earlier than expected. I will definatley not be using it stalking as I find it to unpredictable but the normal trigger is great anyway.
