I seem to recall that someone once posted a letter on the site to send out to land owners asking for shooting permission but i can't find it anywhere. If anybody knows where it is or have written a letter themselves, i would be grateful if you could tell me where it is or e-mail me a copy of your own. Cheers lads.

cheers Carlos, ill give that one a whirl.

let me tell you about todays outing for permision. thought i would give the golf courses a try, as they must have more grass than most, so out with the phone book after work, and got the names and addresses. the first one, the guy was very nice, but he was contracted to a "profesional company" (ohh! get him). but the next one was a bit better. got to the pro shop and asked the young lad if the head green keeper was about. as he was on the phone to him, 5 lads walked into the shop looking a bit "shady". as he hung up, the walked out and of over the car park. the guy told me to go to the shed at the end of the car park, to meet the groundsman, and he would have a word. on the way over there, i noticed one of the lads had an air rifle. "******, he shoots here" i thought. met the green keeper who turned out to be about 25 years old :) , called Ian. Got chatting to him, and he said that they had a guy shoot for them last year, but all he would kill was magpies for some reason and they got over-run with bunnies. now he had asked a friend of his fathers to shot for them. oh well, i thought, so i mentioned the young lads with the rifle, as i thought they were they to do the job. he gave me a startled look, and ran to answer his ringing phone. the guy on the front desk told him that players were getting pellets in thier ***:lol: .

as i went to walk off, Ian said that as his dads mate was new to shooting, would i be interested in sharing a shoot? ****** ME! course i would.

"as soon as it all starts, ill give you a ring". he took my number and said that it takes his gang days to make a green, and then the bunnies dig the thing up.

so, it looks like i might get a shot off this year :good:

the third course was council owned, and the guy was just a tool.

so, get the book out, and have a look at the golf side as well kids.
