jordan
right a bit of advice needed the farmer round by us has cut the wheat field in front of our house i can see pigeons feeding on it but they just seem to be dropping out of the trees on the one side and i cant see any posititve flightlines
Cranfield
The simple answer is, go where the pigeons are, or are coming from. Be prepared to move, if you get it wrong first (or second) time. Setting up near the trees seems a good idea, if possible.
lurcherboy
A couple of floaters might pull them in Jordan, worth a try. LB
Fisherman Mike
Sounds like they are using the trees as a roost while the stubble is available. get there as early as you can before first light.. construct a temporary hide if possible the night before... Obviously it wouldnt be a good idea to shoot too early if there are houses reasonably close by but then again most normal working people will be up around 6.30 anyway. Some times there is no discernable flightline to a feeding area. Last year I shot a field surrounded by woodland on three sides and open ground to the other. The birds came from every direction imaginable. The important thing is to get into position if you can with out arousing too much suspicion of the birds which might be roosting up in the surrounding trees. If they see you setting out plastic versions of them they wont be too interested. Good luck. FM.
