Tam
Hi guys, I am looking for a wireless router & a quick search shows that these are recommended & used by some on here but which model would suit best - my desktop will probably be hardwired & lap top wireless http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Linksys_Routers/prod.asp Is there settings that can stop other people picking up the signal on these things

cubix
Same set up as me, I have a Wireless G ADSL Gateway with a 4 port switch, and a Wireless G 2.4 Ghz Notebook adapter for the laptop. Works a treat.
The Great Cornholio
Hi Tam, Before I could recommend any router I would need to know if you have Cable (Virgin Media) or ADSL (connects to BT socket) If you have the latter, I would need to know which modem you have. Finally it is possible to configure most, if not all, routers to stop others from using your wireless signal. Regards.
