Fisherman Mike
Jim. My wife is from Bolton and I fished the main lake at Pilsworth a couple of years ago when visiting her relations in Heywood. I had a mixed bag from the main lake of about 20lb but I wasnt trying too hard and that included a carp of 11lb which led me a merry dance on 5lb main line. The weather was overcast and dull with a few showers and I fished maggot & worm cocktail on a feeder the water temperature was 12 degrees ( I know all this because I keep a record of all my fishing trips and have just started doing the same of my shooting trips also) I thought it was a very well run fishery and if I remember rightly there is a boilie ban or at least there was at the time. The fishery owner whose name I cant remember was a really nice guy. Well worth a try. FM.
