ammo

factory ammo won't have much difference unless you still have a source for cheap 223 ammo. I haven't seen any decent cheap stuff lately, and for all the more you're shooting it (number of rounds down the tube that is) the price for ammo is minimal here.

 

As for which one, that's personal preference. A 223 is 300yd point and click on fox. It has lighter recoil, and for crows it would be a lot more pleasant to shoot repeatedly. That would be my choice.

i can get american eagle hollow point 55grain for £8 for 20

hornady vmax 55gr £10

remmington cxp1 and 2 50gr 55gr and 64gr for £15

and remmington supreme 55grain at £16

 

 

all in .223 and all shoot half inch clover holes at 100 yards through my tikka

Curious, the current (2008) Remington catalogue does not list any 223 cartridges called Supreme, CXP1 or CXP2, neither does it list any 223 loads at all with 64g bullets.

sorry my mistake its not remmington there winchester cxp bullets

 

 

mickeylove i get the ammo from a rfd who sells from home in derby hes very good and can get most stuff fairly cheap if ya interested i can ring him and find out what he has instock for ya pm me if interested

 

 

the american eagle is from countryman of derby if i remember its £8.60 a box but if ya buy 100rnds ya get 10% off
