I haven't seen any decent cheap stuff lately, and for all the more you're shooting it (number of rounds down the tube that is) the price for ammo is minimal here. As for which one, that's personal preference. A 223 is 300yd point and click on fox. It has lighter recoil, and for crows it would be a lot more pleasant to shoot repeatedly. That would be my choice.
