2shots
this is the new stock untouched baikal Decided to buy one of these 410s for the grandson the stock was too long so to save cutting it I decided to have a go making one, and it works perfect, best score 6x10 yesterday on the clays, and hes 9 yr old. made it by laminating 3/8 ply together and cutting it out with the router, then plenty sanding, hes a lefty so I put a palm swell on the left hand side to compensate, and push the barrels over.Wish I took more photos of the raw bits but there you go.still got the new stock for when he gets bigger. 2shots
Great job... I have the same problem with my son he is also a lefty, ever thought of making a few to sell? they work out too expensive with the hours put in,but my oldest son is a lefty and we buy a left handed stock and a forend off ebay usa where they seem to have loads and cheap, the last set was £56 pound inc delivery and was for his 425 browning that we bought after the stock came, weve done this twice now as its a lot cheaper than bending and twisting them at the gunsmiths, and you get a true lefty stock. Boondougal
thats a top notch job you have done there, funny thing is i found your thread because i was looking to do a similar thing myself - just wondered what people had already had a go at doing! well you have inspired me so i may have to see what i can do, i have considered trying to make a cast and then molding one possibly out of aluminium or a fibreglas resin..hmm will have to investigate further. thanks for the inspiration Sam
