Looking at the West Pier in Brighton, it must be fairly recent as the pier is all but missing now, as can clearly be seen in the image. Quite impressive detail too! This is pretty recent low level arial shots rather than satalite. The detail is impressive & you can view from N S E W. Does is state anywhere that it is aerial footage rather than satellite? The reason I ask is that the quality of the example in your link is easily within the capabilities of a satellite sensor. IMHO unless the site states that this is aerial imagery, then I would say it is reasonable quality satellite stuff (2m ish resolution), as the quality appears too low for aerial electro optical imagery.
