Baldrick
You really do get what you pay for when buying a gun case. I have travelled the world using Peli, Americase and Hardigg (gun) cases, none of which ever gave up in the face of military and civilian baggage handlers. These three brands are very pricey, but it depends on how much attachment you have to what the case is carrying. So how much is 'not too dear'? Mungler
I bought a monster aluminium job that will take 2 rifles / shotties at full stretch and a smaller one that will take 1 short shotty or a broken down rifle. They were about £40 each off fleabay delivered. Quality not too bad really.

Traztaz
Flown all around the world with various rifles and scopes in a butler and creek placcy box, filled it with the egg box style foam and never ever had a problem..............................it really dosent have to cost an arm and a leg to do the job.
