Hi All

Im in the process of putting in a variation for a .223 rifle, the question I have for you all is what would people recommend for amount of ammunition to buy/hold? I was thinking buy 100, keep 150? Does this sound reasonable? I will not be reloading so dont think I need large amounts. Any advice greatfully recieved. Thanks in advance

In general, Essex seems to have settled on 250 to hold and 200 to buy, although this may vary according to your experience and other reasons. Make sure that you ask for expanding on the form, 200- 223 and 200- 223 expanding.

It is better to have more than less on your ticket, if it gets in short supply you can buy in bulk then.

Good reasons are normally batch consistancy, I read somewhere (on here maybe?) they don't like "it's a long way to the gun shop"

I have buy 200 hold 300 which is fine for me, and from memory they were the quanities my FEO suggested.

Something that people don't think about (I am sure  ) when going for mega quantities, is where to store all the stuff.

Because my FAC as going away for along time, I max'd out my .223 and 6.5 allowances, apart from the eye watering cost - I found I could only just get it all in my top locker of my cab :hmm:
