Last night I met up with MGman at a local clay shoot,

Suprising he was a human being, and a half decent one at that. I don't know how he finished up as we were going different directions around the ground. I finished up on 26/30

We had to wait a little while whilst a pretty, young lady, climbed the high tower to fix a problem. The four stands took 1/2 hour in all, a very pleasant evening with good company.

I had a distraction on my first stand that cost me dearly if I didn't count that stand I hit 16/24 (in otherwords 17/30)

Ah, so if I don't count the three numbers that I got wrong on the lottery last week, I actually won a couple of million? (in other words F/A).

if you'd only got three numbers wrong you'd have won £10 like I did :-)

anyways as I said I hit 17/30 from all 4 stands. M.

If the ball had gone in the back of the net it would have been a goal,

Yep I missed 13 yes 13 easy ones. theres always next time, I expect I'll miss even more :-) especially if we have pretty distractions walking around.

Sorry for a bit of a thread hijack, but would any of you Colchester guys be prepared to let a complete novice come and have a try one day ?

Just so you know, I'm a 40 year old family man, and the safety officer and committee member for Iceni-Marksmen. We use the ground on a Sunday for Field Target Air Rifle, so I'm no stranger to shooting sports.

Always been curious to try, and would be willing to pay for carts and any other expenses.

I have a cabinet, but never sent off the SG application form, as I would like to know its for me before spending any money on it.

Regards

Andy
