Been thinking of getting rid of my pieces of camo net and just sticking to a piece of realtree net 12ft by 4.5ft for ease of carrying as i dont have a 4x4 so all my pigeon gear goes on a fishing trolley

Any thoughts on the realtree net appreciated

Cheers

Recently bought a 2-ply stalth camo net from our sponsors(beware other imitations not as good), not cheap at £40 but excellent piece of kit. Lightweight and I roll mine up and carry in a sports football boot bag (amaller than a shoebox).

I've used it a few times now and it works brilliantly, when decoys are working I'v had pigeons landing a few feet away (too close to shoot)....

Highly recomended

Realtree nets are ok , but you have to be careful not to get the sun behind you as the pigeons will see your shaddow on the inside of the net. Stealth nets are prone to ripple in strong winds ( I know you can sometimes fix this with bungees , but unless you have something firm like a hedge behind you thats not always possible ) and that again puts the birds off. I recon you cant beat the old army style camo nets. Mind you realtree jackets are something else and I would never be without mine.

Ray i use stealth nets so does Kdubya and you can ask him if you like we both think they are great, and he often shoots in a light coloured shirt (very light checker) and it does not seen to put the birds of... :good::lol:

I use 2 nets the first one is tight on the poles and then i let the second one hang loosely it stops them flapping in the wind...
