Fisherman Mike
Sir Rembrant is out in the Tommy Whittle at Haydock on Saturday and a big run is expected. Ignore his last run he just doesnt go around a right hand track. Two horses of interest running tomorrow at Exeter. Mini Sensation runs in the 2.15. Its interesting that this horse has been kept in training as an 11 year old with one of the top stables in the country. It won me a lot of money last year and runs into form at this time of year. Good EW bet. Rosetown from my local stable of Tom George runs in handicap company in the 2.45. I watched some of his horses working the other day over a stiff mile gallop at Slad... They are starting to run well ( 1st & 2nd today) and the stable is running into form.

Cranfield
I have had £5 each way, on all three recommendations. It was my intention to bet more, but I couldn't persuade my Wife to donate one of her kidneys. Good news that one has won. perhaps I will get my 5 pints of blood back. :(

Teal
FM - Turning to today, quality wherever we look. Chepstow, Sandown haydock and Wetherby, four of the finest tracks in the UK, all housing great action. At Sandown it is the clash of the nation's top two rated chasers on official rankings. Moscow Flyer and Azertyioup in the Tingle Creek. What a race. Moscow Flyer has won every time he has completed the course. 15 wins and five falls from twenty runs. Bizzarely though every fourth run he has fallen and after three wins it is the sequence day for a fall! He slammed an unfit Azertyioup four lengths in this race last year, but the latter is three years younger and the higher rated of the two. Yet oddly for the country's top two, he too can be a sloppy jumper. Some shrewd judges believe Well Chief might beat them both today but he is 20lbs worse off than he would be in a handicap. A race to enjoy as i think that Azertyioup will win but should not be the odds on that he is, hence a no-bet race. Better opportunities elsewhere. Sir Rembrandt went right handed for the first time in his illustrious career last time and the steering went awry. He jumped like a bow-wow and was tailed off. Yet i think around 7/2 an exchange drifter, at Haydock today he can redeem his reputation. Won this last year against a much stronger field. Has Pizarro to beat today. The imperial Cup at Sandown is a competitive heat. Martin Pipe has had the last five favourites for this race and can you believe it they have all been beaten! Our Vic the latest casualty. Can his Manx Royal, the favourite, needless to say, buck the trend? One form line gives him a stone in hand so at 4/1 he will find plenty takers. If there is to be an upset, the money suggests that McBain might be the one around 9/1. Hacked up in the style of an improver last time, (we saw Harchibald continue to improve last week). King Eider beat Atahuelpa (winner since) last time and there may not be much between them again, while Paul Nicholls saddles Monte Cinto off a handy weight. There is an even sneakier horse in here, Dangerously Good, this is a heck of a race to start off in for the season and the booking of Dean Gallagher is very intriguing. Gary Moore is very clever at these handicap coups and with the favourite inexperienced in big fields, I think we might have an interesting each way on Dangerously Good here around 33/1. if he doesn't win today, he will turn up before long. You won't se him till near the end as he drops back in trip (as does the favourite) but there are a stack of front runners and i think they will finish very tired up the Sandown hill today. That should suit our fellow, though a saver on the favourite is reluctantly also suggested, given he could be a lot better than we have seen so far. Finally on a day with so much great racing not many will be backing in an all weather low grade claimer at Lingfield, but Analyze, with Jimmy Fortune on board, should be backed at 3/1 on the exchanges. A hold up horse with a fine finishing kick, he should be too good for Lakota Brave.
Cranfield
Can any of you racing fiends calculate my winnings ? One Winner at 10/1, bet £5 each way. One Second at 3/1, bet £5 each way. I wouldn't want the Bookie to fiddle me on Monday when I go to COLLECT !!!!!!
Fisherman Mike
Assuming a 1/4 of the odds a place on both That would be 72.50 for the win and place bet on Mini Sensation And 8.75 for the place bet on Sir Rembrant On your three investments of £30.00 thats a net return of 42.50 or 141 .66% Much better than investing that 30 quid in the Bank. If only it was that easy.. FM May be slightly less if it was a fith of the odds a place !
Fisherman Mike
Rosetown from my local stable of Tom George runs in handicap company in the 2.45. I watched some of his horses working the other day over a stiff mile gallop at Slad... They are starting to run well ( 1st & 2nd today) and the stable is running into form. Rosetown ran a reasonable race but the stable followed up on saturday with a 20/1 second ( Turtle Soup ) and a winner in the last at Sandown ( Historic ) at 8/1 Both carrying a sizeable reinvestment of Joe Ladbrokes money paid me for Mini Sensations win. Thanks Teal... V Interesting post and a wager on Analyse paid for Mrs. Fisherman Mikes Birthday present FM.
Cranfield
Thanks Mike, for the calculations and the Tip. As my local Bookie is a very small Independant, I believe they pay 1/5th for a place. Keep the info coming please , win or lose, its a bit of fun.
