Del As far as i can work out you have to pay £50 for each of the grants but only 10 extra when you renew if you get a (co-terminous) renewal hope that helps

THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Got mine on renewal for SGC & grant for FAC. Much cheaper. As for time It depends on the area & force. Huge delays last year for West Mercia, over 6 months yet West Midlands was only weeks, no idea what the situation is now for any area. Evilv
I based mine on this nowhere does it say that with grants it is any cheaper only with renewals I had to renew my shotgun cert in 2005 and decided to reapply for a FAC (I had one many years ago and let it go when work was too demanding). They did both coterminus for £60. If in doubt, phone the firearms department. At Northumbria the people are very helpful and approachable for advice. Piebob
nowhere does it say that with grants it is any cheaper only with renewals It does. It says... "Renewal of Shot Gun Certificate which expires at the same time as a firearms certificate (co-terminous) £10.00" Edit: Ooops, right enough that says renewal. :yp: But it is £60 - did mine recently as well.
