Mate uses one on his 22-250 and it is the dogs dangley bits, excellent in low light and the illuminted ret. is ideal for when the light is fading and your looking at a dark object in a dark back ground (sometime your crosshairs fade out and your not clear on where centre is -)

pretty much the best and I use them for work
dont want to be a k--b but your rifles got leupold on them but i dont know what your job is on a different note i race pigeons and they are stuck in maidstone bad weather surprise surprise thanx

I just got a 3-12 x 50 S&B Zenith with IR on the HMR, specifically for low level light long range bunnies.

 

Can't fault it but the eye relief is not as clean as on the fixed 8x56 IR, but hey, you can't have it all for the money.

 

 

I have Mungs old S&B 8x 56, and can hit golf balls all day at 100 yds with the .223 Tikka and 40 grain Federals

 

Note for Bob, I am working my way up to 200 but am still finding the right round!
