Hi All,

On a recent holiday my missus and I tried clay shooting up near Hull. We both really enjoyed it and I have mailed some gun clubs near us (Nottingham & Kegworth) to get more info on tutoring with an eye to getting into the sport

Is there much of a scene in Nottingham? Any tips or advice anyone can give about these clubs or others I should be looking at?

From the initial lessons the gun hire prices seem very reasonable and the cartridges too.

On our lesson we only used a 20 gauge semi auto (think it was called Franchi or something like that) which seemed a really nice weight and we were suprisingly accurate with, hitting at least half of what we shot at on our first ever lesson, the fiancee even managed 5 out of 5 on her first ever skeet, I managed 4 out of 5 which I was well chuffed with :good: ) I have to put that down to a really good instructor though!

Hope to get some positive feedback from the clubs :hmm:

Cheers

Che

ive just started going down to orston sg nr grantham and ive found the people down ther very helpful,

and the sg is exellent, they charge £20 a lesson.

the best part is try before you buy, if theyve got any gun 2nd hand you can try it on the leyouts,

as i found out last wk end i invested in a new browning,

all the best mox.
