  4. I think there is one this weekend at the Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire
  5. Fair enough Paul, didn't realise it was that bad. It was a real shame though as the sun was out in the afternoon. Fingers crossed for next time. Che
  6. Same heare, talked some friends into going, they drove, got there and it was cancelled! the excuse was "it rained heavily and the field was wet", jeez, its ******* October, what do they expect!
  7. Hi Chris, I am from Carlton, Notts. Still having lessons and havent got my license as yet but it shouldn't be long. Will be up for clays most weekends Tried Oxton & Orston but although Oxton is more expensive for lessons you get a lot more time on the gun and I seem to be learning more there, also the missus is quite petite and at Oxton she used a 20 gauge which suited her better, Orston insisted on her using a 12 and her accuracy suffered. Che
  8. I guess what would be helpfull would be to have a sticky somewhere (say in gun sales?) which gives 'guide' prices for both new and used, like an 'aim to pay' figure as a lot of magazines give nowdays for all kinds of products. It would be really helpful to us newbies as there are so many different brands and models I have found it really difficult to gauge what is a good price and whats not. If someone has volunteered to monitor and update this 'aim to pay' section then brilliant, let them do it I say Anything that encourages honest and fair pricing for both new and used guns would benefit us all in the long term, the idea of 'aim to pay' is great because, for example if a dealer is doing a good price on a new gun and we are made aware, it will encourage healthy competition between the other dealers. win win
  9. U2 at Roundhay Park in 94, was ******* awesome
  10. We spotted the signs for this last weekend and thought we might give it a go, will see what the weathers like

  12. As I am just starting out it would be something for the future for me but as it could be on my doorstep so to speek I could be interested say in 6 months when Ive improved my shooting.
  13. Can you name and shame this dealer miss-selling grey imports? I will be in the market soon for a gun and I sure as hell don't want to be buying one of this cowboy! Cheers
