Hand Held Lamp - What do you use

Hi

Just got my first permission and now it is coming darker looking at hand held lamps.

Seems loads out there on the market. Before I buy one I wonder what others use?

What did you buy, what candlepower and battery rechargeable.

Are there any that should be avoided at all costs. Dont want to buy the wrong one and be an expensive mistake.

any advice appreciated

Thanks

Jan

funnily enough, i use a lamp that i got for a 5er, i rigged it up witha 12v rechargeable battery and it works a treat up to nearly 400 yards things are still clear, it also has a perfectly narrow beam,

theres no need to spend tons on a decent lamp, as great ones can be picked up cheap

I've tried and used many different lamps over the past few years. I now use a Cluson L7 lamp which is small, light and has 2 million candle power. Plus, I can unscrew the handle and attach it to my rifle.

The other lamp I use is a Lightforce 240. 1 million candle power. It's big, but very light, and shines a brilliant beam.

Hope this helps.

Hand held I use a 1 million CP Clulite - great bit of kit.

In the LR we use a huge muckle big thing of unknown origin, I reckon my mate may have robbed it from a lighthouse if I am being honest! It is certainly bright enough and heavy enough. Sure as hell wouldn't want to hold it that's for sure. ???

well i use a lamp that i payed 14quid for and set of different couloured filters from maplins for a fiver works a treat for rabbits and foxes

i dont see the point of having a lamp that will light up fields miles away as by the time you got there there wouldnt be anything to shoot
