Aled_cky
Hannibal just tears all the animals to pieces and humans.. and same with Jason and Predator come to think of it the animals just look as if they've been through those films by how a few of them have been ripped open....... Teal
Looks like they've been gralloched (spelling?) to preserve the meat. Essential to do this as soon after being shot as possible.
Hubertus
you are right teal. we do that as soon as possible (end of the drive) to preserve a good meat quality. I can post some more picture if you want to see them... Best wishes, Hubertus
Aled_cky
yes please.. was it only rifles used or where shotguns involved? Aled
Elma Fud
Does everyone carry a rifle when out on a drive(i.e. beaters with dogs). Or is just those in the gun line only. Also do they shoot from highseats or from ground level in open areas. Thanks EF Well done sounds like you had a great day....
Aled_cky
Elma.... i've only been on 1 shoot so far. but the guns were in a line.. and then for 2 of the drives there were 4beaters and dogs with 2guns incase anything flew over the beaters.. the guns were all on the ground.. i've got a 'beaters shoot' soon so i'm not sure if we will have some beaters shooting at some drives and in a rotation or if we will walk and shoot the same time. Hubertus
on these big driven days there are no beaters. only dogs who flushes the game out. That day the drive was on round about 1000 hektar. So normally you dont see your neighbour. Only one drive per day (3 hours). Some are sitting on high seats some on the ground. There were only rifles used, no shot guns. I like it very much... Best wishes, Hubertus

Aled Aled I am sure Elma was asking Hubertus about the shoot in the picture which presumedly took place in Germany. I am sure he is familiar with game shooting practice in the UK.
