henry d
Just spent a pleasant day with Nial, however the birds just weren`t there.....or indeed anywhere. Just one of those days when theyweren`t flighting, just sitting in the trees and any that did flight past didn`t even look at the deeks No wind to start with then windy but sunny, Sometimes the best laid plans don`t go anywhere. Sorry we didn`t get many birds Nial Next time...........perhaps.
tomleatel
Had the same thing last week. Bionicel kindly took me out for the day. 5 hours later all we had in the bag were 2 pigeons Was a nice sunny day with a gentle breeze, but they all seemed to fly over too high, and land in the next field Sometimes it makes you think that they just know you there waiting for them

So you did beat me home, I was going to post that picture of 'our glorious haul' with your face blanked out and ask the regulars to guess who the 'master pigeon hunter' was Sorry we didn`t get many birds Nial No problem, as I said it's better to have an excuse to sit in a field with the usual Scottish overcast/rainy/sunny/windy/ not windy weather than be stuck in front of a computer. It was also good to see how things are set up etc. Perhaps the Scottish pigeons didn't want two foreigners shooting them! Next time...........perhaps. Aye hopefully Thanks again, Nial
