Hi all

Went out yesterday for a days decoying, met a mate at around 8.30am decided were we where going 2 set up and off we went.

I decided to go light 5 dead birds and 75 carts and my bucket seat + gun!

I had a fair walk to get to my spot so was already feeling the mud gathering on my boots and wearing me out :good: definately getting old :P.

anyway puts me gear down in my spot and walked round the edge of some bushes to find some old branches to build up my hide, when a hen pheasant decides to scare the **** out of me anyway let her get about 30yards away and down she comes!

Great start i thinks to myself. all set up, things started very slow 1st woodie comes to the decoys and gets the 1st shot that virtually plucks it it some how falls around 200 yards away, i decide to go and get it when i get to about 50 yards away it flys off real low another 200 or so yards away. so like a muppet i follow only this time i could'nt find it! :good:

decide to walk up the hedgerow and back to my decoys, when half way up a woodcock flushes from a ditch, bang i down it  well happy now!

anyway cut a long story short the decoying was very slow shot a total of 5 woodies and 1 cock pheasant when i had a little wander during the day!

all in all a MIXED DAY!

ps: forgot about the rabbit that was shot whilst waiting for my friend to bring the 4x4, took another walk! :good:
