David BASC
I went out today into a wood that I and several friends have the shooting rights over. Its about 50 acres and surrounded by farmland (not arable - its Cheshire!) Mainly Oak, Beech and Silver Birch Plenty of pigeons about, but moving very fast in the wind, and not wanting to settle anywhere for very long. Still managed three for three shots in the 90 mins I was walking around with the dog. David

David BASC
Heavy rain predicted here but it didn’t arrive. Seen more pigeons in Cheshire in the last month than ever before - lord knows where they are coming from. On the shoot where I go beating , two weeks ago as we walked to a field that had been cropped of feeder maize earlier in the week there must have been around 1000 pigeons feeding on the spilt maize - the sky was black (or blue!) Also noticed more acorns this year than recently, anyone else finding the same where you are? David
