Escort Semi - Firsy time out

I bought a s/h 12g Escort 3'' Semi Auto last week, and have only just managed to try it out. I found it lighter than my o/e and didn't notice as much recoil. I did miss more Pigeons than I would normally expect and was wondering if I should put this down to 1st time out, or the 1/4 choke that is in it. What do you reckon?

Also, the third cartridge needs a hefty push with my thumb to go in, is that normal?

Ta,

Hamish

Mine takes a little more effort to push the third cartridge home and i put it down to the spring inside magazine being compressed. They are light guns when compared to a conventional double barrel, but dont take long to get used to it.When you clean it-remember to poke a cotton bud though the gas vents cos they do soot up.Great guns though!
