Hamish
I bought a s/h 12g Escort 3'' Semi Auto last week, and have only just managed to try it out. I found it lighter than my o/e and didn't notice as much recoil. I did miss more Pigeons than I would normally expect and was wondering if I should put this down to 1st time out, or the 1/4 choke that is in it. What do you reckon? Also, the third cartridge needs a hefty push with my thumb to go in, is that normal? Ta, Hamish Edited November 20, 2008 by Hamish
Imperfection
Mine takes a little more effort to push the third cartridge home and i put it down to the spring inside magazine being compressed. They are light guns when compared to a conventional double barrel, but dont take long to get used to it.When you clean it-remember to poke a cotton bud though the gas vents cos they do soot up.Great guns though! babka3487
I think it'll just be because it's your first time out with it, I was a bit rusty with mine when I first got it as I'd only shot my sxs before that - soon warmed to it though, just keep practicing!!! vole
I have been bagging a few carrion crows today with mine. I use the i/c choke and take down most of what I shoot at.Expect you be fine with 1/4.I bet you need a day or so to get used to the gun.My 3rd shell takes a bit of a push too.
