955i
Well, my license isn't through yet but today I fell in love Went out to size up a couple of guns as I'm looking to buy as soon as my license arrives and fell for a Winchester 'Select' Sporting. Tried a few guns over a wide range including some of the more expensive Brownings and Berettas and nothing felt as comfy or won out over it looks wise (to my eyes). Couldn't help but put a deposit down and will pay it over a couple of months so hopefully will be mine soon after my ticket gets here. Any opinions on my choice welcomed
Billy.
I've stuck a deposit on a gun i wasn't licensed for. It was actually me waiting for a variation on my FAC and the guy said he'd give it back if I didn't get the variation. See if they'll let you stick a deposit on, on the basis your licence gets approved. I'm sure they wont mind too much if you ask.

Going to be tough waiting it out though
J@mes
If it fits, you are happy with the price and you are sure you will be granted your ticket - why not! Me on the otherhand, I got my ticket in Jan and have only just bought my first gun!

Jim145
Sounds like madness, but I too bought my shottie before my licence came through. I've a Lanber in my cabinet now thats waiting for my mates licence coming back. I guess its not as unusual as I thought!
