p-a-s
hi Andy.if your getting 3x22 rimfires and they all favour dif rounds then 500 might not be enough anyway,i think i would be tempted to go 1500 to buy and 1800 store might be over the top.but speak with you FLO and he will advise accordingley, and amend your ammo allowances.you could give eley ESP`s a try there about the best i have put through my Tbolt hth and good luck paul
Andy_B
Never thought of that ...will seek his guidance then will go along the lines of batch quality, and repeatability...se how many i can get...i know buying in bulk is cheaper..do that with shotgun carts...but been strongly advised not to mention reason as "financial benefit to me" any other reasons greatly appreciated ! Billy.
I made a mistake by saying 400 buy 800 own and during my interview I said I didn't realise the .22 rounds came in bricks of 500, so I pulled a sad face and said how I wished I'd written 500 buy and 1000 own: he got my application form, turned to page two and scribbled out my requests and put what I asked for in. "all sorted" he said. You might as well ask what he'll be happy with and don't forget to ask for your expanding ammo, once you have your land sorted (it'll cost you £25 for the variation though...) Good luck!

Andy_B
Hi yeah it all worked out fine..even went and ordered the ruger the other day...usually takes my guy a few weeks to get them....**** law...ordered wed ...got a phone call yesterday...thats it in !!!...lovely new ruger 10/22T in stainless...sitting in a gunshop waiting for me to get the bit of paper through the door... Due to the value of the pound against the dollar..there will be a large price increase on the guns in the next few weeks..so think i got in at the right time or would have ended up paying another 40-50 quid extra for it..so cant complain too much
POW!
Great stuff Andy , dont neglect your shotgunning though , I find a lot of folk tend to just "Point" the shotgun after a while with the rifle , as you often forget to swing the shotty , I am sure the Vermin are trembling at the thought of you persuing them , ENJOY , Cheers POW! cearth
Good luck with your Licence Andy!! I just got mine and it went ok. Got a new Ruger yesterday with 1000 rounds of .22 . I mixed them some subsonic and some quick mothers.... I was advised that to keek the Licence and Gun you must be seen to be using it regular.... So go buy 1000 rounds now and then!! Have fun !! Andy_B
1000..!!!! your not under Strathclyde police then ??...the FEO grumbled a bit about 500 for 3 rifles...then said the chief might lower that further to 250 !! thats buying !! holding 200 !!..but he would try and explain that i needed the bigger amount as each rifle needed a different brand ..if they go for the lower, i will be up at the office every month looking for more room on the ticket to eneter more !!..
