Cranfield
At the moment I am the "lone ranger" on a large block ( about 200 acres) of rape, the fields being only separated by ditches and worst still, no hedges, bushes, or trees. I always set up with the wind behind me and the majority of the rape in front of me. This means that every time I fire a shot, the sound carries over the adjoining fields and there is a good chance it will move any sitting birds. In these circumstances I also use all of my decoys, floaters and a rotary. Doing this I shot 67 on Friday in 4 hours shooting and got 21 this morning in about 2 hours shooting (had to go shopping). I should mention that I have a fair walk from my truck and it takes me over 45 minutes from parking, to getting into my hide.
