With the strength of the dollar, I can't imagine importing a scope is going to save you much after import duties and shipping costs. However, I imported a couple of scopes from these guys when the exchange rate was at its most favourable: http://www.eurooptic.com/

This may also be worth a look, Paddy: http://www.dnrsports.com/acatalog/Optics.html

Alex at europtic is a good guy to deal with - I've had scopes & bins off him in the past

+ used others (more recently)

Some have a problem with mildot reticules & some don't want international trade!

Cabelas wouldn't send me a 4" saw - how stooooopid (the US spelling) is that!

I have done this quite a bit and never had any problems with it, I have used dnr sports and www.theopticzone.com, though dnr can be a little hard to deal with sometimes. At the minute the $ is worth close to 70p so its still gonna save you and seeing as you live in Northen Ireland I have a little tip for you, when you put in your address for the order what ever you do do not put in Northen Ireland simply put Ireland, you see the british government like to tax the hell out of you and basically by the time the import tax is on it it is hardly worth the hassle whereas the irish government are far more resonable and dont do import tax. If you put on it Northern Ireland it will come through british borders i.e England and be taxed but if you put Ireland it will be sent to Southern Ireland where it wont be taxed on entry and simply be transported over the border to you with no extras, handy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
