bullet boy
There are a couple of good makes out there Gareth.Anschutz,CZ,and Ruger are very popular.
Ozzy Fudd
hmmm whats it for? i prefer ruger 10/22's and bsa's over anything else, but id advise you to stay away from anschtuz - i helped my friend clean his dads model 500 once, took us half an hour to disassemble it, half an hour to clean it, and then 3 and a half hours (with copious amounts of swearing) to put it back together. bolt actions are accurate and reliable (normally) but semi's have a better rate of fire (important to some people, like me )
libs
They semi-autos may be hard to clean, but the heavy, free floating barrel target rifles are THE most accurate. When combined with something like Eley Tennex, you know a miss IS user error.
bullet boy
I love my Ruger 10/22 semi-auto-its devastatingly accurate!

Gareth_Northern Ireland
Ment to say what bullet is the best? ive got a CZ
craigyboy
I used winchester subsonics for years and always found them accurate however recently just switched to laupa subsonics and they are slightly better though they are coated in some guff that dirtys the rifles action very quick, in my opinion there are 3 brands worth trying, Eley, winchester and laupa. Get a box of each and see how it goes.
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Just a thought but why not say if hunting or target rounds. Might be half an idea to give a clue to the range your shooting at. Some open up the group as distance increases. What's available localy ? What's recomended might not be available to you. CZ what ? For plinking I use Thunderbolts, awfull but dirt cheap, why waste money just haveing a blast. Serious target practice, Eley Team, very close to subs in flight but costs quite a bit so just pop a few off for a serious how am I really doing go with paper. Hunting, Eley subs. Haveing tried quite a few types of solids & HP's I'd say for a CZ anything your local sells. You will get a box of each to try no matter what anyone recomends. For HV's I've found again anything will do & not as good as subs as far as grouping goes. With all the ones I've tried CCi ones seem good & common in the shops. General advice in no particular order go for RWS, Winchester, Eley first. CCi tend to be tight in the chamber on a CZ but good & Remmington should be tried but tried last if none of the other makes give you joy. Why not worry about best scope instead, advice about that is about as usefull as asking about ammo. Every one prefers different things & views the world of shooting differently to everyone else. Everyone loves a good what's best argument. P's I think Aquila are quieter than Eley & if you like spending money try Lapua.
