Billy.
Heard of the 700 Nitro Express? Yup. However you'll find more interesting stuff on the net about the 577, as there's ****** all .700 owners who are willing to film themselves shooting. libs
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=D41NYBHkb9M Can you imagine a double discharge with that double-rifle at the end. 2 lots of 9050ft/lb rounds at once, would have to send him home to his mum in wrapped up in clingfilm. deeksofdoom
I know a guy who was using the wing mirror of his van as a shooting rest and he blew out the windscreen with the mussel blast , not sure what the calibre was, but it definitely wasn't a .5, just goes to show it doesn't take a huge calibre to do it. Try the .50 in the M2 Browning variant, vehicle mounted on automatic. No forgetting that and it's true what they say - those fuzzy wuzzies don't like it up 'em! maddog546
People dont appreciate the muzzle pressure of some of the calibres in daily use,a local gun dealer and champion clay shooter had the notion that it would be ok to discharge his 223 through the open passenger window of his Mitsubushi pickup, whilst sat in the drivers seat, the result a cracked windscreen from the muzzle blast. ironduke
the .700 double rifle in the vid is epic....i love the pic of it next to a .22 to quote sol frm Snatch "thats a ******* anti aircraft gun Vincent!!"
southernlad
Has anyone seen this 2 bore (not sure what caliber that is in imperial but the bullet is 2500 grains) rifle vid then? Don't know what practical purpose it would have apart from maybe shooting the front end off a car and dislocating your shoulder, but quite amusing... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eXoa5zNn0TU SL

Trussman
The bolt action .700 is pointless. The idea of a dangerous game rifle is to be able deliver shots in quick succession. How you can reload while sitting on your **** due to the recoil and a potentially dangerous animal charging you is beyond me.
