Billy.
Could someone point me to a video/previous post where someone demonstrates the method of dispatching a pigeon by putting your thumbs on it's back and pushing down. I want to try this, but I don't want to get it wrong and just end up putting it through more pain.

MerseaDavid
I use a 1ft long metal bar or a wooden stick. One good hit and the bird is dead.
bangbang1
hi, new to the forum so dont know any links or previous posts on this subject but i use this method to dispatch wounded pigeons.. hold the pigeon with both hands, thumbs on its back, fingers underneath and (assuming you are right handed) use your right thumb to find the spine between the shoulders of the bird, push down hard with the tip of your thumb and hold until dead, usually a few seconds.
