jack01
hi all, new to this site, ive been shooting clays for the past year along with beating and the occasional shot at the pheasants. im hoping to start onto the pigeons and rabbits in the near future. thought this looked like a good site to pick up some tips and advice and hopefully find some fellow shooters in and around the area

seisobs
Welcome Jack You are in the best site on the net for tips and tricks on pigeon shooting. Do you have any pigeons in your area? Do you have farmland that you can shoot on? If not, there are lots of pointers in the permissions section. Enjoy jake.

jack01
to be honest ive not long started looking for a bit of land to shoot on. ive been asking around my friends to hopefully find someone who has a connection with a farmer. so far i have 2 pals who are going to have a word for me. was thinking of sending some letters out to the farms in the area as my next step. Letters are usually a bit of a waste of time to be honest. Knocking on doors and introducing yourself personally tend to win over farmers. I have only ever gained one piece of land through a letter, and that was a golf course. Farmers just tend to be too busy to answer random letters from complete strangers.
