bullet heads/loads for .22-250 -Newbie home loader

Recommended Posts

Just wondered what people were using for foxes. I've been using 50gr nosler balistic tips in my styer .22-250 with 38 gr H380. I've had good results with these. Is a 55 gr bullet any more beneficial and is a Hornady A max a similar type of tip design to the Noslers? I've also heard of people loading 70gr bullets for windy nights is there really any real benefit from this.

Any help much appreicated

what about a 10" twist..would that take a heavier head ?

Have not went down the "roll your own" road yet, mainly because i can see how easily it could become very very anoraki.I would not stop in my search for the perfect load, locking myself in the shed and growing a beard until one day reapearing with the holy grail.

Anyway 10"and 26" barrel
