Tobyb525
Hi, Im looking to go pigeon shooting for the first time in a few weeks , I have found a set of decoys on ebay for £17.99. (follow the link) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12X-SHELL-PIGEON-DEC...A1%7C240%3A1318 Are they any good? Also, it may sound stupid , but if it rains on the day is it still safe to shoot my shotgun and cartridges (I've only ever shot in the dry) , bearing in mind it will be dried out and oiled afterwords? Cheers, Toby

Fatcatsplat
Dunno about the deeks, but shooting in the wet is absolutely fine, albeit cold, damp and a bit yuk at times!! If the gun is wet, let it dry in its own time (Not near the fire or a radiator) and give it a wipedown and quick oil afterwards (Don't drown it!!). Let us know how the deeks go please. Cosd
I use these decoys and they work absolutely fine. After a while the paint chips off here and there as it would on any painted decoys. But touch them up a bit with some matt paint and tippex for the white bits and you're away again. They are not the best out there but they are fine to start off with. I have also bought from this seller and he's ok, no problems with him at all. If you have the budget then I'd look at the sillosocks or flocked decoys, but they are over double the price and I know it adds up when you start off and buying everything at once.
